Message	and talk about the build in more depth, rather than just say "great job" after the massive post and be done with it. Build threads should have tons of replies, suggestions, and feedback to maybe HELP the builder with his project, instead of criticising his work at the end by saying "oh, why did you do this?". You just simply can't do that with this layout, and its why you don't see build threads.
